Sad News

Unfortunately I have an update on Katrina (my sister-in-law), she had a miscarriage today. I spoke with her and Anthony today and they seem to be doing ok! This was a little tougher for Anthony today than Katrina, but like she said, she had already mourned last week when things started to go wrong. She has an amazing spirit and such an optomistic attitude. Her strength is amazing. I LOVE YOU TRIX!! YOU TO ANT!!

NO GLASSES

Good news! No glasses!! Spencer had a check up with Dr Moore in Camden on Thursday and he said his vision is 20/25 in both eyes. Astigmatism in his right eye and a little near-sightedness, but for now things are ok. We are suppose to go back for a follow up before school starts to see if there has been a change. As you can see from the pics, Spencer was really digging the fancy glasses they gave him. Notice the dialation of his pupils in the other picture. He also is sick again with a stomach virus. He was up late Thursday night, Friday am throwing up. Then on and off during the day on Friday. I thought all was going well, so I tried to give him his antibiotic for the strep he got last weekend and I ended up wearing that...and mopping the kitchen floor. But for now he is tucked into his bed and hopefully going to sleep through the night. So much for the perfect attendance we were striving for;)-

New bedding

While browsing around on Wednesday, I came across this AMAZING deal on a crib set for Sawyer. He was really checking out the mobile....I think its a winner. He loves it! NO! NO! He is NOT sleeping in his crib yet, still in the cradle in our room. Filling it up too, I must add. But one day, we will put him in his crib. Don't know when that day might be, but one day!

NEWS! NEWS!

My brother and his wife are having a baby!!! Last week she had a little scare, so that's why I ask everyone to remember her in your prayers. She received a call from her doctor yesterday and he said her hormome levels are going up. She is only about a month along, so that was the reason for the scare last week. Thanks to all of you for remembering her in your prayers. Looks like by Christmas we will have another baby in our family to love!! Congratulations Anthony & Trixie!! We Love You!!

Updates

Spencer and another kid were playing at school and this is the end result. Boys will be boys!
Here's a picture of Sawyer that I thought was so cute, just had to share.

Here is Spencer's research project he had to do for school on his pet...of course, he did a "DOG" Diego!

Here's Spence dressed up in the book parade at school. Isn't he cute?!!

This picture is so funny of Sawyer watching the kids in the parade.

Rolling...rolling

Guess who is rolling over? Sawyer-man :) Mom was inside with him today while I was doing some yard work, and Sawyer was on a blanket in the floor. She said that when she walked into the kitchen he was on his stomach and when she walked back in the living room he was on his back. So unfortunately, no one technically saw him roll over for the first time, but I definately saw the second time. After bath, teeth brushing, prayers and everything else, Sawyer & I came back down stairs and I put him back on his blanket and grabbed the video camera. Well, within 2 minutes he rolled over again. The whole time, all I could think was....this is all happening TOO fast. He needs to stay tiny as long as he can.

Spencer has been not feeling well since Thursday. He started with a stomach virus, and then as the days went on, he just wasn't acting his normal self. He had a low temp and all he wanted to do was lay around. So sure enough, he has strep. Bless his little heart, this morning he was going up the stairs and I ask him where was he going and he said, "to lay in my bed." Well, I knew he wasn't feeling well then. But now he is on his meds and is perking up quite a bit.

Now, I need a favor. My mom is having surgery on Monday to have her gall bladder removed. After months of pain and feeling yucky, they finally have narrowed things down. Also, my brother and his wife are facing some challenging times as well, so PLEASE remember them all in your prayers. Much love to moma and Trixie!! ;) I love you both so much!!

14 Years & Goin' strong

Tim & I celebrated our 14th anniversary on April 15th. We went to Columbiana Mall friday night, where Tim purchased me a new coach purse...woohoo!! I LOVE IT! ;) Then we went to dinner at Inakaya, which was yummy!! The actual day of our anniversary was Sunday, so that kinda limited things we could do. It's amazing how fast 14 years have gone by. Mostly good and some not so good, but all that matters is that we have endured! We look forward to many more years together!

HAPPY EASTER!!

We have had a good easter weekend. Friday night we colored eggs, then Saturday we had the church egg hunt. Easter morning we enjoyed the kids with their baskets and stuff before church. Spencer was so funny, he went from our room to his room and would NOT look downstairs to peek and see what he had until we were all ready to come downstairs. After he checked out his stuff and we were getting ready for church, he went in his/Sullivan's room and when I looked in on him, he was leaned against Sullivan's bed holding a picture of Sullivan, with tears in his eyes. He didn't say anything and neither did I, I just went over and hugged him. I told him how much Sullivan loves him and he is with us always, he just said, "I know."

Sorry if this picture is a little TOO much for anyone, but this is a part of our life {unfortunately}.

Check out the movies man!! WHAT? Peter Pan?

I love fun dip! Yippie...NO CHOCOLATE!!

Church egg hunt

Sawyer's egg Spence and Tim made for him.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

Bounce Around

Spencer enjoyed a birthday party at Bounce Around with all of his friends and family on Saturday. I must say this is the way to go for a party. We showed up with the cake and goody bags and they did everything else. No prep work, no clean up. As you can tell from the pictures, everyone had a great time!!

Dr Visit and...glasses??

Spencer went today for his 6 year check up to see Dr Finch. He is 49 1/4 lbs and 44 1/4 inches tall, finally he is in the 70th percentile for weight but is STILL only in the 30th precentile for height. Let's hope this changes in the years to come. His blood pressure and cholesterol was fine. THEN came the eye exam. He seemed to be doing well. The nurse acted as if everything was okay, then when we got into the exam room with Dr Finch he informed me that Spencer's left eye was 20/40 and his right eye is 20/70. This does not mean anything right now he said, but for me to watch him and see how he acts with reading. If he begins to show signs of problems to contact them and we can follow up with another exam and possibly a referral. SO, no glasses for now. Of course Spencer says that he can see fine, but since Tim, Geoff, their dad, Anthony, Wendy and my dad all wear glasses or contacts all the time, we will definately keep check on lil Spence.

Spencer's 6th Birthday

Today Spencer celebrated his 6th birthday. I can't believe that he has been entertaining us for 6 years already, time sure does fly.
He started his morning with a call from Leslie, then we were off to school where he was on the morning show. {Sorry but all my pictures are so random and out of order.}

Then Sawyer and I went back to school at 12:30 for cupcakes and snacks with the class. All the kids told me, "Spencer's mom, the cupcakes are delicious." This is my new name at school. I think it's so cute. Sawyer really enjoyed the kids and the attention, it you can't tell by the picture.

After school, we were off to build a bear. We had a blast. Spencer was really torn between a bear and a dog, of course, he chose the dog. Sawyer got a turtle. The funniest part was when Spencer stepped on the release pedal and shot stuffing everywhere. We all got a kick out of that! After a quick bite to eat in the Food Court and a ride on the merry go round, we returned home for some yumm-o cookie cake. A special thanks to Jenny!! Spencer then opened his gifts from us and of course a gift from G-Ma Sandra and G-dad Jerry...HEELEY'S!! Wendy and the kids came by and so did Anthony, Ka-trixie & Brandon! The actual party is this weekend, but we always give our gifts before or after the party, so he knows what we give him. This year we let him do his own shopping. He picked out a $1 slinky and a lightning mcqueen car and said, "OK mom, that's enough. So after some more time looking around I convinced him to get a few more things. I just thought that was so sweet that all he wanted was something small. He really is LOW maintenance {for now}. He finds joy in the most simple things.

We are so blessed to have him in our life. He has really played a MAJOR role in helping Tim & I get through the past 2 years without Sullivan. Althought no one or nothing will ever take his place, having Spencer and now Sawyer, our lives seem a little more bearable!!!
