Baby Shower

Saturday I attended a baby shower, in my honor :). Mostly family, but a couple friends too....they may as well be family :). Thanks to everyone who gave me diapers and wipes and the other cute stuff too. All of the stuff is sure to come in handy when the baby gets here. Speaking of baby, we may have come up with a name...SORRY we aren't announcing it yet. Sorry too for not having any pictures to post. I only have 4 and they are of everyone there playing a game...my battery ran out.

You all know how clever we must be as mom's and wives, so here's my clever trick for today. As you know tonight is FHE night, SO, since I had not planned accordingly, I had to shoot from the hip... :) I was inspired by Matt 5:16, Let your light so shine... SOOOO, we had our evening planned, homework, dinner, water flowers, FHE, bath/bedtime. While we were outside watering, I ask Tim to check the landscape lights that were not working. After a moan and groan, he checked them. So this led me to my FHE lesson. While the kids and I were standing back watching Tim, I ask Spencer what did it mean to be a light to the world? And the rest is history... who would've thought a scripture would lead to getting my landscape light fixed? HEEHEE!!

Sawyer went for his 15 month checkup last week. All is well. He weighs 22 lbs and is almost 30 inches long. He is just below average in height, weight and head size. He only got one shot this time...thank goodness.

I went for my 32 week checkup today. Nothing exciting to report. NO DATE yet! Maybe next time. We did look at the call schedule and now I know who I am up against for the c-section, now I just have to pick my date.

Spencer is doing well. Honor roll, AGAIN! We are so proud of him~

I couldn't resist posting this picture to announce my new car. I finally got one last week. Of course, it's a Yukon Denali XL...white, leather, captain's chairs...yada yada! This picture reminds me of the fill ups. We have put gas in it twice, and both times were cut off at $75. The gas mileage is better, believe it or not. So far, I LOVE IT!!

Sorry for not having a better picture. I just didn't feel like digging out all my pictures. Afterall, it WAS 15 years ago. Check us out....oh how things change. But before you all go making fun of us, I came across a few pictures of some of you that cracked me up :) don't make me post them.

Signing of Bill #3496

We attended the signing of the DUI bill this morning. I was priviledged and honored to be a part of this great event. Govenor Sanford has pushed for change for 5 years, and this is a MAJOR step for SC. After he and several others addressed the group at the press conference, he asked me to say a few words. Of course I was emotional, but definately honored to speak. Once the bill was signed, he handed my the pen he signed with. What a wonderful gift for our 15 year wedding anniversary.

Bill #3496

Gov. Sanford is expected to sign the new DUI Bill sometime within the next few days. It has passed the House and Senate and is awaiting the signature of the govenor. Thanks to all who contacted their area representatives to help push this bill along. It isn't near as strong as it should be, but hey....every little bit helps, right?!!

I will keep you posted.

FINALLY, here it is. Here is our list of names. Some I like more than others, and Tim hardly likes anything. So nothing is carved in stone, and the countdown is on. HOPEFULLY, only 8 weeks to go. I should know my c-section date at my next appointment (4/21...I think).

Spencer's 7th Birthday

As you can see, "Mr Cheese" Spencer celebrated his birthday last Wednesday. (Sorry for the delay). He had sugar cookie with his class and was on the morning show at school that morning.

We celebrated with friends and family on Saturday. He had a pirate party. They made wooden boats and painted them and when the rain finally ended, they had a very "wet" treasure hunt.

NO, Sawyer was not afraid of the shark, he was ready for a nap and he wanted to walk, but the shoes I bought (especially for the trip) were 2 left shoes. Talk about ticked off.

Easter 2008

Here they are...Easter picutres. SOO late, I know.... but just give me a break. I loaded 12 pictures on a slide show last night and for some odd reason once they all loaded, EVERYTHING disappeared. So, here you have it!
