Michael's 16th Birthday

Happy 16th Birthday to Michael. It's hard to believe that it has been 16 years since he was born. Time flies by! As you can tell, the party was in Tim's shop~which was a good thing since they all decided to have a cake fight. They did all clean it up, so I guess that's ok.

They got a little carried away with the plastic wrap and decided to wrap each other up. I guess there are worse things they could've been doing. I'm glad they all had a good time. Happy Birthday Michael ~ WE LOVE YOU!

Where's Saxon?

The other morning I put Saxon on his blanket to play. Most of the time he finds the tag on the blanket and plays for a little while. But I heard him grunting and looked in from the kitchen and he was NOT on his blanket. He had rolled and inched all the way back to the table. It's amazing the things he can do at only 7 months. :) As you can see, he really hated moving around.

Let it Snow!

Finally, we woke up to snow this morning. Spencer really enjoyed being out of school and Sawyer loved him being home. We headed out about 8:45 this morning to let the kids play. It took us about 45 minutes to get everyone dressed, so I intended on staying out longer than 10 minutes. We all boarded the golfcart and cruised around the yard and woods. IT WAS COLD! The wind and snow was blowing in our faces, so we finally had to come inside and thaw out. About an hour or so later the kids headed back out to build a snowman...or shall I say snowbaby. It's so cute! We did manage to get some writing out of Spencer, he wrote a little story about the snow.

Hope everyone enjoyed their day! Afterall, who knows when we will get snow again!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sawyer

Today is Sawyer's 2nd birthday. It's hard to believe that it has been 2 years since he blessed our lives. We are kept in stitches at the things these boys can come up with. I thought Spencer was the family comedian until Sawyer started growing up....Now they always keep us laughing. He had an ok day, to have strep...AGAIN! He spent this morning in the doctor's office. After getting the rx filled and getting a bite to eat we picked Spencer up from school and headed home. This evening we had a few friends and family over for a birthday cookie and some viddles. His actual party with his friends and family was on Saturday. Thanks to all who attended and celebrated with us. Thanks for all the great gifts.

We love you Sawyer!!

Sawyer's new "DO"

I decided to face the wrath of attempting to give Sawyer a haircut yesterday. The last couple of cuts I have paid for, we didn't exactly get our monies worth. He normally kicks and screams and throws a complete fit....so, I decided to put him in our tub and cut it myself. I figured I could pay someone to gap it up or I could do it myself. ;) (I cut Spencer's during the break in the shower and it worked out pretty well.) I think it turned out ok. Of course my brother said he could teach me how to fade it on the sides, so I told him to just hold the clippers and turn them on and stand by Sawyer and see what kind of reaction he'll get. All in all, I think it's cute. Just in time for birthday pictures and party.

Happy New Year

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy new year. At Jenny & Brandon's party last night, Jenny asked us if we had made a resolution for the new year. As much as my mind runs, you would think that I would've had time to make one, but I haven't....I actually haven't had the thought cross my mind. uh!oh! SO, it would be nice in the new year to lose these last baby pounds, read more, be a little more compassionate towards others, get Sawyer through the terrible 2's, get Saxon sleeping through the night and get Spencer through 2nd grade with a better gpa than now. I will continue my work with MADD as a volunteer to keep Sullivan's memory alive. As for Tim, I wish him LUCK. After a little talk a couple of weeks ago, we have decided for Tim to handle all of our finances and I will have a break for the first time in 15 1/2 years. I'm kind of excited about the decision. One, I can't wait for him to see how quickly the money goes, and two we can save some money~~sorry girls~~no spur of the moment shopping ;). I will have an allowance for gas, groceries, etc. but no extra money just waiting to be spent. However, my substitute pay will be all mine. WOOHOO! I'm rolling in the dough ;). This time next year I will update you and let you know where we stand.

My best to all in 2009!!
