A Day with Goldie

Spencer brought home "Goldie" today. Goldie is their classroom friend. Each day he gets to go home with a different child. Today was our day. We took Goldie to Tim's work and had a snack, then we went shopping, then came home and wanted to play outside but it had rained a little and everything was wet, so they couldn't really do a whole lot... we did however work in a few pictures. We took Goldie to meet the Post family, while Wendy printed these pictures for me. Goldie also has a journal that we get to record all of the events of the day. When we got home, Spencer introduced Goldie to his big brother's pictures. It was so sweet, I had to fight back the tears. Then we got ready for bed and read 2 books. Spencer and Goldie are tucked in for the night and are sound asleep. What a great day with Goldie!

New Ultrasound Pictures

Check out the new pictures of the baby. How sweet are these pictures? Notice the hand, it looks like it's waving. The mouth is open, I guess he/she is already trying to talk...must take after me! Ha! Ha! My due date is still Jan 10, so I guess then the question will be answered...BOY? GIRL?

Sneaky Snacker

Today after school, I decided to chill out a little while on the couch. Spencer thought that he would take advantage of the situation, and have a snack....or 3. When I woke up, I found Spencer in the chair with 3 "empty" bags of funyons in the chair with him. Atleast he did stay in the same room with me. OK, I was half awake and half asleep, I kept hearing him playing with his cars, and crunching, so I knew he was right there with me. I thought this was so funny when I woke up, that all of the evidence was right in the chair with him. lol
School is going good, so far. He made his first pictionary book last week. It is so cute, some of the letters he tried to write...TOO CUTE! A few mornings, he doesn't want to get out of the car, so it takes a little persuasion, then he is ok. We look forward to one day hearing what he does all day, because for some reason he just can't remember.

First Day of Kindergarten

Well look who's all grown up and starting Kindergarten. Oh my how time flies. Spencer was so excited to start school today. Tim & I took him in and walked him to his class. He went straight to his cubby and started putting his stuff up. Then he went over to his table where there was a picture for him to color. He put all his stuff up and told us Bye. I couldn't believe it, this same child cried and clung to my leg last year and wouldn't let me leave. I think it was harder on me that he allowed us to leave so easily. After a few tears were shed, I was ok.
Spencer and his cercies after school for having such a GREAT day!
A car and popcorn, a couple of his favorite things.
Pam, Ryan & the kids came over for a swim this evening, as you can see, everyone enjoyed themselves. A nice way to end the day.
Spencer showing off his diving skills...okay it's just a jump.LOL

Meet the Teacher Night

Spencer and his Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Heins.

Here are some of the things to do in Spencer's class. Instead of a desk, he will work at a table with 5 other kids. He got to meet some of those kids tonight, and see both of his teachers. He says that he is sooo excited about starting school....we shall see come morning.
After school, we went to eat and then came home to let Spencer help pack his lunchbox for tomorrow. We ended the night as we do every year before school starts, Tim always gives the kids a blessing before they start school. It seems to help with the transition.
Wish us luck!!!

Finally, Sullivan's monument is done. We thought you would like to see it, so, here it is!
