Beach, lost glasses, missing teeth, oh my!

We've just gotten back from our beach trip. We left on Tuesday evening and got back on Sunday around 1am. What a week! Always remember when you are going to the beach...take your swimsuit!! I forgot mine, so I had to go find one when we got there. As if that wasn't bad enough, Sawyer got sick the first night, Tim lost his glasses in the ocean, which ended up costing us $325 to replace while at the beach, the golfcart was acting up and last but not least, Spencer was trying to open his sippy cup on the beach and pulled out not just one loose tooth, but 2! Overall, we did have a good time. No time schedule, no where to be and not much to do but just CHILL! This really was a vacation. We spent some time on the beach, at the pool and riding on the golfcart (when the batteries would stay charged). We all had a good time.

After returning home, Spencer got his teeth ready for the toothfairy. So last night the toothfairy came and brought $5. Spencer called it his "Bill Crankin". He meant it was his Ben Franklin..LOL!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday was bitter-sweet. Some days are harder than others, and my birthday is ALWAYS hard (emotionally). I started my day with a wake up call from Denise, singing to me. Then we went to Pam's for a short visit. When Tim got home from work, we went to Lugoff House of Pizza for dinner with Leslie and the kids...yum-o! Thanks to those who shared my birthday with me, and for the calls, cards and presents. Funny when you least expect it, you get a phone call from a long lost friend that just makes your day. I did end up making 2 trips to the cemetery. All of my family is at the beach, so we celebrated last Friday @ my parents house. We didn't have the camera for dinner either time, so here is a quick picture I snapped of me and my boys before bed.

Guess who's crawling?

OK! So it's an Army crawl, but it's a crawl. Can you believe it? Sawyer is growing up too fast.

We also over the weekend attended the 2nd Annual Sullivan Memorial Drag Race in Darlington. Tim wasn't able to take his car, but Spencer did get to draw the ticket for the raffle.

Sawyer's 6 month Pictures

Here is our little man at 6 months! Can you believe it has been 6 months? We had an in-store credit at Portrait Innovations, so we decided to give them another try. And must I say that the girl we had this time was WONDERFUL! She fell in love with Sawyer and he laughed at her the entire photo shoot...that makes choosing the prints very difficult. At one time, he was laughing so hard at her that everyone in the store was looking in our room. How funny?!!

I especially like the tub picture, he looks as if he's saying, "Leave me alone while I relax!" Check out his hand.

ENJOY!!

Road Trip

Saturday we took a road trip to my cousin Ginger's house at the beach for her daughter, Eiland's, first birthday party. And might I add that we had a great time...thanks for the invite Ging!! We left that morning and made a stop by Tanger Outlets. Only a few purchases, I'm trying to watch my spending. I did fall in love with a few things...one was a COACH purse and the other was a Hammock swing, still may go back for that! Anyway, about the party. The kids had a blast. Ginger had thought of everything. She had a bbq dinner, HUGE waterslide, games, a dj, and did I mention bbq? Everything was super nice and we are so glad that we took the time to go. We don't get to see a lot of my extended family very often, so we were glad to make the trip.

Sawyer and Eiland with my Aunt Judy and cousin Noel.

Check out Sawyer giving Rob advice on the new baby.

Here we are with my cousins, Ginger & Noel and Eiland and Delaney is in the front taking a picture.

Independence Day

Here are a few pictures from our July 4th day. We spent most of the day at home. Spencer was in the pool almost all day...imagine that?!! As I was about to get in the pool, I ask Tim to put Sawyer's swimmie on him, and whenever I went to pick him up, I just had to grab the camera. Check out Tim's version of how the swimmie goes on...come on Tim!! He had it inside out and backwards. lol! The Grigsby's came over for a while and then we went to The Barber's for dinner. After dinner, we headed back home for more swimming and then some fireworks. That pretty much sums up our 4th! Sorry I'm so late :)

Tim's Pride & Joy

As you will see, there are still some kinks to be worked out, but here is a video from last night in Jackson where Tim was testing his car. Unfortunately the last pass he made something broke. Since it was 3am when we got home, he hasn't checked it out yet. Keep your fingers crossed that it's something inexpensive (if that's possible with a race car). This is not the video that I took, when we got home I was going to show Wendy and somehow DELETED the video from my camera. Don't ask me how? I have NEVER done that before.

You Might Be a Redneck

You might be a redneck if you use your bumbo + an inflatable boat to make a floatation device for your baby!!! Funny huh Ginger!!!

Lucky 7's

Sawyer went for his 6 month check up today. shew! How time flies!! He weighed 17.8; was 27" long and his head measured 17". Talk about luck of the 7's. Spencer went with me to the appointment, and Tim met us there to hold Sawyer for his shots. During the shots, Spencer excused himself out the room. He said the screaming was too loud! After a few minutes of hugging from mommy & daddy, he was ok. He napped almost the whole time until we got home, which included 3 stops and a drive thru. Poor little fella. As you can see, he is sitting up. He started this friday night. He sure is growing up sooo fast. AND, Spencer has a loose tooth. It is barely hanging on. We'll keep you posted!!!

Here are the LAST pictures from our vacation. These were taken on Castaway Cay. Most are self explanatory. Spencer & the raft: he was looking through the raft to the bottom of the water. Pretty cool. We never actually saw a fist, but you could see straight to the bottom. I thought everyone could use a good laugh=check out Tim in the snorkel mask! LOL!!!

Disney Cruise Day Three: Castaway Cay

Here are some more photos from the trip. Day three was on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay (pronounced KEY). Again,we were rained on. Thankfully the covered lunch area wasn't far, so we ran for cover. Then it dawned on me that my bag wasn't waterproof, so Tim ran to get it...turns out it was waterproof, woops! Anywho, we had a good time on the island. And guess what Ginger? There were lizards on the island. Doesn't Disney have enough power to get rid of them? Then we boarded the boat for dinner at Triton's Restaurant. Dinner was ok. Tim had the roasted duck and I had the lamb shank, Spencer went out on a limb for....MAC N CHEZ, AGAIN! Sawyer enjoyed peas and applesauce. yum-o! The food overall was great. My most favorite dish of all was a mango and papaya chilled soup, DELICIOUS!!! Tim's favorite was a mahi, mahi grilled sandwich with horseradish sauce! Of course none of us complained about the Beach Blanket Buffet breakfast every morning, and the lunches were good too. Tim absolutely loved the "all you can drink" station, with his fav, diet coke. I must admit, I gained 3 lbs, but since I had lost 6 being sick, I am still A-OK!

We have more pics from our waterproof camera and as soon as I pick those up I will share them as well. You may be tired of seeing all of the pics, but....TOO BAD!!! j/k

Disney Cruise Day Two

Again, we had a blast. It rained on and off all day, but we still had a good time. We went to the Bahamas then back to the boat for the premiere of Ratatouille, then back to the Bahama's for a carriage ride, then back to the boat, running through the rain. At dinner we had a Pirate theme, then the Pirates in the Carribean deck party, then the Disney fireworks show.

Disney Cruise Day One

We woke up bright and early Thursday am to drive to Florida for our cruise. We got on I20 @ 5:45am and got off @ 12:20, pretty good timing huh? After unloading, checking in and meeting Minnie, we were finally onboard. Highlights of day one: meeting Mickey, Minnie, Goofy & Donald Duck, watching "Hercules, the musical" , sailing off in the rain, attended the Sail Away party and finding our way around the ship. Needless to say, we had a great time.

We're Back !!!

We're back from the Disney Cruise and we had a BLAST!! Here's one of many pictures to come. Enjoy this as I try to work on a slide show...haven't had much luck lately, so I'll see what I can do. Have a good Monday!!
