Sick, sick, sick!

By this time tomorrow we will be in route to Florida for our disney cruise. I can hardly wait. This time yesterday, I was sick as a dog from 11am until 11pm. Apparently, I have gotten the stomach virus and have been out of commission for a day or so. I woke up feeling kinda bad, and just brushed it off. I took Spencer to school to his study group and Sawyer and I ran to Walmart for a few last minute things. After getting Spencer, getting the oil changed and making a quick stop at Sally's Beauty supply, we were headed home to do laundry, pack and tidy up the house. Those plans quickly changed whenever we got home. Thankfully, my mom was home and was able to keep the kids for me until Tim got home. I spent the day in and out of the bathroom and laying on the sofa. Every move I made would make me sick. FYI: if you are nursing and get the stomach virus, you can still nurse. Your milk helps the baby become immune to the virus...strange huh? Anyway, when I got on the scale this morning I had lost 6 lbs. WAAHOO!!! I hate the way I had to lose it, but it is gone. Today I still feel a little uneasy, so hopefully I can get everything done that I need to do before we leave in the morning at 4am.

Hope everyone is well! The next post hopefully will be pictures from the cruise! Pray for us that the kids or Tim don't get the virus before or during the trip!! :)

Lazy Pool Day

As you can see, Sawyer enjoyed some time in the pool today. Isn't he just too cute chillin in his float....like he's an ole pro! As you can tell, he loved splashing around and kicking in the pool. We can't wait until our Disney Cruise. Only 6 more days!! Yippie!!

Remembering Sullivan

Today has been a very emotional day. Thankfully, Tim took today off and was able to spend the day with us. We put some balloons, candles and flowers out at the grave and the roadside. As soon as we lit the torch by the road and got back home, it started to rain. I mean poor down. Tim went to check the torch and it was still lit. Even through all the rain that fell. Isn't that ironic. And to let you in on another milestone....after Tim gave Sawyer his bath, I was putting his clothes on him. Well, he has been babbling all day, and we have been telling him to say mamamama. It was around 9pm, so my emotions had gotten the best of me and I am crying, trying to dress him, well guess what he says? MAMAMA! How sweet was that. It's almost like Sullivan sending me a sign. I know I may sound crazy, but that's my way of thinking now a days. Things just don't randomly happen, I think everything happens for a reason. Although we have been through so much in the past year, we know that we have taken the steps in the right directions to assure our family an eternity together. This blessing helps us face each day...good or bad!

Father's Day Weekend

We've had a very busy weekend. We started the celebration with a cookout on Thursday night with Geoff, Leslie and the kids. This was suppose to be our father day gathering with Harold, but he was sick or something like that. (Sorry no pics) Then Saturday morning we went to the Primary Summer Carnival at church. This was the first of our 4 stops for the day. We then attended a party for Logan at 2, a surprise party for Blake Alder at 5 and then a party for Jenny @ 7. Talk about a busy day. But we had a good time. When we got home, Tim had to leave for work at 10 (PM) to be at a store by 1am for a counter change out...in Georgia. He got back home around 4:30 am, put the boston butts on the smoker and then called it a night.

We spent Sunday going to church, visiting the cemetery, hosting lunch for my family, napping, going back to the cemetery, visiting with Elaine for a little bit, then came back home for dinner and riding around on the golf cart, looking at whiserwills (as Spencer says) and now we are trying to settle down for the night. All in all we had an OK father's day. The busier the better. Tim's dad is still sick or something like that, so we didn't see him today either. Good thing I stuck his card in the mail huh?!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU MEN!!

Check out Sawyer's crocs I found him at Babies R us. Aren't they adorable?

Here is a picture of Sullivan & Spencer with our first veggie out of our garden 2 years ago. We haven't put much work into it this year. The weeds look so nice, I hate to disturb them...LOL!!

Trent & the storm

Leslie & Trent came over Monday evening, while Emma was at Bible school, and Spencer & Trent decided to play a few games. This was the Buster's Bugs game. This was the beginning before it got a little out of control, but needless to say, they had a good time.

Sawyer loves to scoot around on a blanket, the only thing is, we don't have a blanket big enough. He rolls and scoots all over the living room. Honestly, I think he is wanting to crawl. He is growing up too fast.

As you all know we have had some storms this week. Well Monday evening while I ran out to gather chairs up from around the pool, the sky looked wicked. I decided to take advantage and take a couple of pictures. Hope you like!

Another First

Sorry for the redness, but I was trying to cover the flash. Isn't it a shame that I have had my digital camera for so long and still don't know how to use it. Anyway, Sawyer spent his first night in his crib in his room on Tuesday, June 12..this is also the day he turned 5 months old. I still am having mixed emotions about this transition, but I think it is for the best. The first night was a little nerve-racking, then last night was a little better. He was still up 4 TIMES through the night, but he did go right back to sleep. So looks like we are on the road to changes.

Race Day

Saturday was a pretty hot day to spend on an asphault heated dragstrip, but we made it through it. Sarah and I took the kids and met up with everyone else. Tim was still testing his car. There was a race going on, but he was just testing, not really racing. The last pass he made he stood the car up a couple of times and as a result damaged the hood. You can't see it on the picture, but Christopher is pointing to it...notice how the hood doesn't match up at the top, near the windshield. Even though it was very hot, we still had a good time.

Memorial Day & A deer

Here are a few pictures from Memorial Day, we had the Fahner's over for a cookout and swim. We enjoyed some delicious hamburgers/hotdogs and Tim got to try out his lifeguard skills. Taylor apparently didn't realize how deep the pool was, and the fact the water was chilly. She never technically went under, but she was struggling, so Tim ran to the rescue...fully clothed! All in all everything was OK. Spencer and Elizabeth had been in the pool all day and he was exhausted by the time everyone got here, so he just sat out and watched everyone.

Yesterday, my mom & I were sitting at the kitchen table talking and I looked out the window and there were 2 deer in the backyard. Sorry the picture isn't more clear, but you get the idea. To explain the picture of Sawyer, as you know he has to have his face covered to go to sleep, well he also has to bury his face into your arm or in this case the sofa. Isn't that cute. DON'T FRET...we moved him once he was good and asleep.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! We are headed to Darlington for Tim to race his car for the first time, so maybe I'll get a video and can post it later.

Not much going on!

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. We really don't have a lot of things exciting going on right now. Summer is here and we (I) am trying to clean out and clear out some junk we don't need. My cabinets look great...LOL!! There were so many little things to do that are so time consuming that I am finally getting around to doing. One task takes all day seems like. Between nursing, laundry, pumping, dishes, nursing, watching Spencer swim, nursing, pumping, cooking, nursing, cleaning...notice a pattern here? Sawyer is teething and his gums are really giving him a fit, bless his little heart. Spencer is enjoying the pool and has a nice bronze glow.

My dad had surgery Monday morning on his leg. He had a blockage in his thigh and they had to go in and replace the vein. He is doing well and is suppose to come home from the hospital today.

I promise to post new pictures very soon!
